Thanks to our generous donors, construction of the Outdoor Classroom should begin soon! We greatly appreciate all the support provided by our community to make this vision a reality.
While we are very excited for construction of the Outdoor Classroom to begin, it is important to note that La Expedicion de Anza, 1775 Accessible Cultural History Park is already being used by our neighbors at the Arizona School for Deaf and Blind (ASDB)! Universal design makes La Expedicion de Anza, 1775 Accessible Cultural History Park a perfect canvas for learning and leisure.
Please read what ASDB staff and students have had to say about the park in their own words;

Adri, ASDB Student
“I like when they (the ground surface) tell you where there is a new station.”

“I have been bringing students out to the park to practice sweeping the cane on the smooth surface without the cane tip getting jammed in all the cracks that are on most sidewalks.”
Margaret Zuniga, Orientation & Mobility Specialist

“I like the guide cable and all the trees and plants.”
Enrique, ASDB student
